Monodrama "The Apples" based on "Apples from Shlitzbutter's Garden" by  Dina Rubina.

 

In the beginning of the 80's, known as a "frozen" period in the Soviet Union, when illusions about the possible freedom were long dead, a young writer comes to Moscow for a visit from a city of Tashkent. In the last day of her visit, she remembers to go through with her promise given to a colleague and is bringing a story written by him to a Jewish publishing house. An unexpected encounter provokes memories of distant childhood and beyond...
