Psoy Korolenko, Moscow's "avant-bard" and "wandering scholar" presents his real-time rap-style commentary and piano accompaniment to BED AND SOFA, an outstanding Russian silent avant-garde masterpiece by Abram Room and Viktor Schklovski (1927).

BED AND SOFA (a.k.a. Love For Three, the original title ''Tretya Meshchanskaya [Third Petty-Bourgeois Street]") is one of the most controversial early Soviet films, supposedly based on poet Vladimir Mayakovsky's life details. It centers on a bizarre love triangle in post-Lenin's Moscow. The conclusion represents the woman's liberation in the new society.

The film-screening performance is based on Psoy's original Russian poetic commentary to the film. The English translation was created by STUART GOLDBERG), with later additions by DANIEL KAHN and may include real-time improvisations
