Project Mehogim

Mehogim

Mehogim is Hebrew for clock pointers - they are moving clockwise to mark the calendar year and its holidays and special days in the society life.

The project's participants are exploring old traditions, as well as looking and creating new ones. The team is learning about Jewish and international holidays through lectures, master-classes, discussions, tours and travel.

The project develops production and organizational skills as well: how to choose a topic and a concept for an event? how to advertise an event? how to design the space? etc. During the year of activity, the project's team not only study about holidays and traditions, but also take an active part in developing and producing the events like the following: Hanukkah, March 8, Pesah, Lag Be-Omer, Tisha B'Av.
