Elena Kovalsky

Mehogim project.

Dancer, Choreographer, Dance and Movement Therapist.

Elena came to Israel in 2006 from St.Petersburg, abandoning her job as a journalist and fine art expert for the career of Dance Therapist.

Although dance was not always her primary occupation, it has always been a part of Elena’s life. It started when, as a girl, she attended a Ballet School. Later she danced in “Graffiti Theater” and participated in "OKNO Dance Project".

Elena is a member of “Free Choreographers Union” in Russia and she is an independent choreographer in Israel.

Since graduating The David Yellin Academic College of Education majoring in dance therapy, she has been working with children and adults as a dance and movement therapist, giving classes in dance and movement and initiating her own dance projects.

At Fishka, Elena runs the “Dance-theater” studio, in which the participants both study about the principles of movement and learn to express themselves.

Elena is a free and creative person. She considers self-expression to be the highest goal. Thinks that everyone can create, the important thing is to find your niche and not to fear trying new things.
