Facilitator of volunteer project "Art of Time"
Alexander is a painter. Immigrated to Israel in 1990 from Moscow.
Alexander holds a BA degree in Arts and Design of Stone and Wood, and a Masters Degree from the Pedagogical Institute for Painting Teaching in Moscow. He worked as graphic designer, and was a member of Designers Union of the former USSR.
After his arrival in Israel, Alexander lectured at the famous Batzalel Art Center, and for many years worked as Art Director at the Centre for Educational Technology (CET). He also ran his own private art studio. These days he is, among other things, engaged in working in various care houses for elderly people across Israel, conducting workshops of wood carving, as well as in leading art projects that deal with old age.
Alexander Galitsky’s works have been displayed in solo exhibitions in US, Germany and Russia and are on display in museums in Israel and Russia.
